Hello Professor, can you explain how to find the answers for question 2 in the homework 13.1?

Hi Sheyla,

You are using the Chi-Square table, just like in problem 1. The k gives us the number of categories, so to get the degrees of freedom, you just subtract one. The degrees of freedom are always k - 1 in the one-dimensional Chi-Square test. The question also provides the significance level, so we simply go to the table to look up the significance level with the corresponding degrees of freedom.
