3.3 Fundamental Counting Rule and Combinations
An old fashion “combination” bike lock has three numbered wheels side by side on a steel cylinder. Each wheel has the digits 0 – 9 on them. The “combination” consists of a three digit integer such as 123. How many “combinations” are possible by choosing a digit from each wheel (note: it is okay to repeat digits, such as 111).
