The Professor's Response

Hi there Profe!
On Ch.8-#33: Why do we Reject the null? The P-value is 4.1%, which is > the alpha at 4%.
I thought we only reject when P-value is < alpha. Let me know, thanks!!

Professor McGukian

Hi Gisselle,

The p-value in this problem is 0.0041, which is 0.41%, not 4.1%. Because the p-value is less than alpha, we reject the null hypothesis. You know the rule, so that is good. You just overlooked the extra zero in the p-value.
