Problem 3

A lot of test prep programs claim that they will improve student scores, but a retake may improve test scores without the expensive test prep. Eight students took the LSAT twice to see if there was an improvement on the second attempt. Use the results below and a 1% significance level to test the claim that there is a difference between the two attempts. What do these results say about the test prep industry?
1st score 161 143 142 152 145 147 143 155
2nd score 165 148 150 154 145 152 150 159
