This is Kendrick .....working on Sec't 9.10 using F-Table to find critical values, do we use d.f. for both small and large sample data ?

Hi Kendrick,
Yes, for the F-test (and the f distribution), we will always use a numerator degrees of freedom and a denominator degrees of freedom. It does not matter the sample sizes involved.
